This is a great hair dryer and is a lot lighter than the clunky old one I used to have. It looks great and helps my morning routine go a lot faster. I am able to dry my hair quickly and I love the attachment that it comes with to be able to focus all the hot air on one section of hair at a time as  I am brushing it out. When I use the attachment it makes my hair look a lot better as well than without using it. This is a powerful hair dryer it isn't the most powerful hair dryer I have ever seen but definitely a very good one. It is very powerful and dries my hair quickly which is awesome since I have really long hair. It is a nice sleek hair dryer so it fits nicely into my hair dryer holder and looks really nice as well. This is an absolutely amazing product that I love tremendously and it has changed my entire view on doing laundry! These are great and so simple to use. Not only do they have ease to them they are eco friendly a better investment but they are so much more. I have extremely sensitive skin and my entire life my laundry has always had to be washed on its own with very little soap and double rinse cycles. With this I am able to do a normal load of laundry without having to ad extra rinse cycles. My clothes come out clean bright and they smell clean. They are microwavable and dishwasher safe which is something I look for in every coffee mug I go for. The scale comes all ready to go with a battery you just have to put the battery in place and remove the plastic strip. Once the battery is in you can change it between 3 different weight units. Once it is set to your correct unit you can set it up for your height and it will be able to give you other stats such as your body mass index muscle weight and water weight among other things. Not only can it do that it can store up to 12 different profiles for the scale. The scale is very accurate and has a clear to read screen. Argan oil is a great product for your hair and this is awesome. Having a shampoo and conditioner with argan oil in it is even better! I absolutely love this shampoo and conditioner set as well as the argan oil that you can add to your skin and nails as well as in your hair. The shampoo has a very interesting smell to it but it cleans your hair thoroughly and works very well. The conditioner is amazing and what really made me love this product line. It has a vanilla lavender scent and it makes my hair silky smooth. After using this shampoo, conditioner, and the oil together my hair skin and nails have been so much smoother and looks healthier. My hair looks healthier and better with more volume.

I was actually surprised it fit in my wallet. Most pocket survival things or credit card sized tools dong actually fit in the card slots, so that's a bonus off the bat. The biggest things this has going for it in my opinion are in no specific order the can opener, knife, saw blade and the bottle opener. The saw is decent though not something id use give a choice. but it does work. It is rough on the hands though but in an emergency beggars cant be choosers. The bottle opener and can openers care self explanatory and are a little tough to get going which is a downside, but they can be invaluable. The knife is something decent for precision cuts but I wouldn't go too crazy with it. I'm sure I could find a use for the multi size wrench end but it would need me to be under the right circumstances because it seems like a lot more work than it is worth. The screw driver is alright and works fine. Over all its small sturdy and has a lot of different stuff on it. Some useful some not so much. This is very actuate and a very nice set.  It comes with the scale that has the attached lid with a little pan to weigh your jewelry 2 10 gram weights and a pair of tweezers. The LCD screen is easy to read. The buttons are easy to push on the scale and easy to reach all the buttons. You can change the scale between different weights and measurements. The tare button to set the scale to zero to get your accurate reading. This all came well packed in a really nice gift box that is held closed with a magnetically held side of the box. The glasses are coo. I like how they are small lightweight and collapsible. They are small enough to fit in my hiking pack and they can collapse down pretty small, but as soon as you let go of it they return to their original shape. I would suggest a rubber band to keep them collapsed if you nee them to be small, which is what I had to do. The main selling point of them being made of silicone which makes it flexible is one its bonuses in case you drop it it wont break. they are dishwasher safe so that is a bonus as well. A nice relaxing bath is one of my favorite escapes that help me relax and rejuvenated. I like to add bath salts in my bath to help with that and this one is one of the best. I feel like my skin is extremely soft after getting out of a bath using this and my body is very relaxed. I have a lot of body aches and pains and this winter has been a killer. Taking a nice relaxing bath with this has helped a lot my back muscles feel well relaxed and wasn't as sore. I felt looser and not as stiff after I took a bath with these bath salts. This is a great product and is something perfect for me when I am on the go. I have gone through more than 3 years of physical therapy and one of the main treatments I would receive after my therapy would be a Max - Freeze like product applied to my shoulder and back. This is absolutely perfect because I can get some of the same pain relief now at home without having the pricy trip to physical therapy. This is a really nice roll on tube that you can easily apply to the area as needed. It doesn't have much of an odor there is a faint scent that you can barely detect. When you apply it to the intended area it absorbs nicely into your skin it doesn't leave a greasy or sticky feeling and it doesn't make you feel like your clothing is sticking to you afterwards. Within a minute or two you are going to start to feel the cooling relief effects. This dulls my pain on my shoulder quite a bit. I like how this is in a roll on tube so I can easily carry it with me. When I am out and about I don't like taking pain pills and with this I can get some pain relief without the narcotics or drowsiness that they can cause. This is such an awesome tool and way better than using a knife to try and peel and chop your garlic. So I have taken many culinary classes and learned tricks of the trade to do things easily. I like the peeler tube where I can place the garlic clove in their and roll it across the counter and the peel is gone. The press is perfect and it will take the peel off as well. I really like how fine it minces the garlic. I have used this a lot and have saved a lot of money being able to use real garlic cloves instead of buying minced garlic in a jar. Not only has it saved me money but it also helps me continue on to a non processed food life buying everything as fresh as I possibly can. I already had used both a humidifier and Vicks when I or anyone in my family is sick. This is perfect and combines both items into one that helps tremendously! Winter time is the worst with everyone getting sick being stuffed up and congested. The Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier is great. It isn't as bulky as most humidifiers are and it fits nicely on my counter top during the day and on the night stand at night. Because of its small size it is easy to move and transport between rooms without any water. You can run this with or without the Vicks which is really nice. When you run this with the Vicks it is amazing you can tell a big difference and your sinus feel more opened and easier to breath. This machine has by far surpassed my expectations and is a higher quality than other humidifiers I have had in the past. 5 Facts About Allergic Reactions & Hair Product Ingredients

 

A new post about your hair care. Now I like a few people I know have sensitive skin and have had issues with hair dye and reactions to it. Here are a few facts that touch on Hair product ingredients and allergic reactions.

 

 

Allergic reactions don't just come from the foods we eat. You can react to just about any substance - including the ingredients in your hair products. Dr. Jan and the team from Madison Reed offer some very helpful insight into allergic reactions and the ingredients in the hair products we use.

1. What is an allergic reaction?
You could think of an allergic reaction as “too much of a good thing.” I say that because it’s a result of your body’s natural defenses working overtime. An allergic reaction is an inappropriate response to an otherwise harmless substance. When the body becomes sensitized to a substance, that substance becomes an allergen. Since this response depends on each body’s response, different people are allergic or sensitive to different things.
Minor allergic reactions are common. In fact, some reports claim that up to one third of Americans have allergies. Most allergic reactions are minor, but some allergic reactions can lead to a severe life threatening reaction called anaphylaxis.
The first time someone is exposed to an allergen, there is no reaction because the body hasn’t had time to develop antibodies meant to “fight off” the allergen. With each subsequent exposure, there is more of an immune response. This is why some people can, for example, eat shellfish or take penicillin or use hair dye their entire lives, and suddenly have an allergic reaction.
The takeaway is to trust your body’s reactions. If something feels wrong, stop what you’re doing, even if it’s something you’ve been able to eat, drink, or use in the past.
2. Why are some people allergic to hair color?
Allergens can get into our bodies in a multitude of ways, like eating peanut butter, breathing in pollen, through the blood when a bee stings, or topical like hair dye. It’s not well understood why some people react to certain substances while others do not.
Let’s talk about common ingredients in hair dye that can trigger sensitivities. Much of the hair dye made today is still based on formulas developed during the Industrial Revolution. The most common chemicals in hair dye linked to allergic reactions are PPD, ammonia, and resorcinol.
Knowing which ingredients pose a risk will help you make the best choices for yourself. Luckily, advances in science have led to healthier hair color formulas—like Madison Reed Radiant Color Kit —that give high performance without these common, potentially dangerous allergens.
3. Can I get hair color without these ingredients?
Yes! Madison Reed permanent color is free of PPD, ammonia, resorcinol, added parabens, and gluten. And Madison Reed products do not contain any of the 22 chemicals that are banned in the EU, which has stricter safety standards for hair color.
If you have high sensitivity to oxidative ingredients (which all permanent color requires to process hair), semi-permanent gloss is another option. This is a category of hair color that deposits pigments onto your hair without chemically opening the hair shaft. The tradeoff is that semi-permanent color cannot fully cover grays. 4. How do I make sure a product is safe for me?
If you have had an allergic reaction of any kind and know what you are allergic to, avoid the allergen completely. Repeated exposure to an allergen can lead to a more serious reaction. Always check a product’s full list of ingredients to ensure your safety.
If you don’t know what you are allergic to, keep in mind you can be sensitive to any ingredient, not just the common allergens.
The other important thing to note is that each color has different ingredients. So if you’ve been using one shade of color and decide to change your look, read through the new shade’s ingredients carefully. Don’t assume that it will be the same formula.
If, and only if, you have not had a severe reaction in the past to hair color, you can perform a patch test on your skin before coloring your hair. If you are going to a salon, call at least 2 days in advance to ask if they offer this service. If they do, make sure they perform the test with the exact shades that they plan to use on your hair.

5. How do I perform a patch test?
Susan Roberts-Cooper, award-winning international colorist and director of research and development for Madison Reed, recommends these step-by-step instructions for a sensitivity skin patch test:
1. Mix a small amount of permanent color and a small amount of developer in a small non-metal bowl. You will be testing a very small patch of skin, so about 1” of color from the tube with a dime-sized dot of activator should be enough.
2. Clean small patch of skin (we recommend the inside of your arm, wrist, or behind your ear) thoroughly. Use rubbing alcohol if you are not sensitive to it.
3. Use a cotton swab to apply the color mixture to your skin.
4. Allow color mixture to dry. Then apply a small bandage to cover.
5. Leave on skin for 48 hours to test for sensitivities to the ingredients. If you sense any discomfort or sensitivity, remove and clean immediately.
Important:
Patch test must be done 48 hours (2 full days) before you plan to color your hair. Skin should not get wet during the 48 hours. For this reason, behind the ear is usually the best spot.
A visible change in the skin (redness or bumpiness) could signal sensitivity even if you do not feel physical discomfort. If you test on skin that is hard to see (like behind your ear), ask a friend to check at the end of 48 hours.
